I've never had a problem with the pharmacy, and I've always found the pharmacy staff to be helpful. Unlike Balu (whose review is below), I would not expect them to help me if I arrived after their clearly posted closing time. The store is clean and fairly well organized. The store staff are knowledgeable. My complaint is they have so many "specialty areas" in the store that the area left for groceries is minimized and they typically carry only 1 type of a product or only 1 brand of a product, and that in proliferation. Try buying anything besides Kraft mac 'n' cheese. They have a couple of varieties of Annie's, but nothing else. Golden Grain's nowhere to be found. While they carry Silk soy milk, they only have Blue Diamond almond milk in vanilla. I've requested the chocolate variety over and over, but to no result. If they got rid of the "grind your own peanut butter" or the sushi bar or even shrunk another "specialty" department down, they'd have room for more groceries. They are, after all, a grocery store. It would be nice if they'd carry more of those and less of the fluff.

This is a really nice Safeway and fairly new (5 years old maybe) so it's surprising that they are going through a fairly complete remodel. They are adding a bigger deli and salad bar for the lunch crowd and sections for bulk food and nuts. They have redone their produce area but I can't really see how it's that different from what they had before. I suppose it's to compete with the Trader Joe's and Whole Foods out there.

They do have a fairly large wine section, ethnic food section and organic and health food selection which I do appreciate.

Very poor pharmacy service. There is no such thing like manager because they all are the same. Who are we going to complain about the service they provde. I filled out that safeway form they gave few months back and to date nothing is done or improved. I had a bad experience every single time I been there. Too bad there is not any other pharmacy close to our place otherwise I would not go here.
