I accidentally found this place on New Years Eve with my friends, because we were going to go karaoking that night. The service was really friendly, and it looked like they were going to close up, but they accepted us. They came out with small dishes of appetizers and a bowl of soup and said it was on the house due to it being New Year's Eve. What I had was delicious and the appetizers were also very good. I felt bad that we couldnt' finish them all, so we left a big tip in return. =P It was a nice accidental find.
Food is just ok, but a lot msg: The food is just ok, but we can feel that there is a lot of MSG. The carpet is so smelly. Other than this problem, I think this is a ok Korean food restaurant.
Ready for Some Seoul Food?: The Korean name of this restaurant is Si-Gol-Jip, and it's a hidden delight, in a building right on a business drag. If you are looking for some Korean comfort food, a little bee-bim-bop, a liitle pajun or bool go gi, go no farther. The place was packed on a rainy friday night, and after we sat down and started getting served we found out why. Though we didn't speak a word of Korean, the service was incredibly friendly. Not always the case. We were served with a huge array (7) of small dishes that included spicy daikon, tofu, potatoes and seaweed and when they were low they staff asked if we wanted more. The entree portions are plentiful. I wish I had more people in the party to try the hot plates. A solid value that satisfies, the ambiance isn't a first date place, but you could go here once without embarassment for all other celebrations that aren't formal. An accidental find, a simple english name "Korean Restaurant" that goes to show that there is often a lot behind the facade.
