Maybe they changed owners, but the prices have gone up and are the same as Beverlys now. I thought they mainly bought bolt ends and stuff because it is a fairly eclectic selection. And they used to have a lot of gorgeous silk, but it's gone. While I was there the other day, I was looking at some fabric and she took it and upped the price from $12.99 a yard to $22.95 a yard! She lost that sale and a customer.
Wow! Sew Lovely, I almost wonder if you have your stores mixed up. I shop here all the time & I can't believe this would've happened to you. I've never bought anything there for such a price. Carla is always marking stuff down & trying to get your the best deal possible. The stock is always changing, as she mainly buys bolt ends, like you said. So, she may not always have silk & such in stock. Give the shop another try!04/22/10
I am sorry that you had that experience I am not sure who waited on you, but that is so unlike Carla. She is more likely to do just the opposite. I shopped there all the time and it is a great place to shop if you are looking for something a little different. She is definitely not a Beverly's or Harts, she is a small business in Watsonville set in a particular niche.03/23/10 -

You never know what they have--mostly home dec fabric--but quite a bit of clothing fabric as well. There is very little sewing fabric for clothing to be found in Santa Cruz County. It's all craft and quilting. Crossroad Fabric has an eclectic assortment. You just have to understand that it is hit and miss if you are looking for something specific.
