    Good times!: This neighborhood karaoke bar in downtown SJ's Japantown is the best little spot in the city! On weekends, the crowd is a good mix of college folks and everyone else in between. The bartenders and bouncers are friendly, as are the regulars. Been going here for the past few years, and it's still a blast to hear the regulars sing and the newbies. Highly recommend Bamboo 7. Get there early for a seat. It can get pretty packed on weekend nights.

    THE MOST FUN I'VE HAD IN MONTHS: Wow, did I have fun Friday night. Bamboo 7 is the best karaoke bar ever. O.k. I haven't been to many, but I don't need to because I have the Bamboo. The crowd is great and very tolerant of the less experienced singer. Also it was a very diverse group, so the music selections were from rap to Sinatra. The only downside is it's a small place, so you have to get there early if you want a table. At the same time i don't think it would be as friendly if it were any bigger.

    Karaoke every nite- yea baby!!!: I make a point of stopping by when I am in San Jose, a few times over the past few years. Weeknights can be quiet, but great for sing-offs. Bring your own group. Weekends with college kids can get very loud and crowded. Pick your poison.
