Chiaramontes Delicatessen

Since my Great Grandfather Chiaramonte died over 20 years ago, his store has really gone down hill. I have many fond memories of the store, my Great Grandparents, their home above the store, the bird bath, and the walnut tree in the back yard. The store represented what my Great Grandfather worked so hard to build - centering and devoting his life to bringing and keeping the family together. I remember playing in the driveway and you could smell his delicious homemade sausage all the way down North 13th Street. Now, all that is left is a shell of a what the store once was, with no trace of what it once stood for. I think my Great Grandfather would be truly ashamed to see what his store has turned into.
