House of Pizza Number 1

I went to SJS (before the U) and graduated in '71. We lived in the SJ area after college, but moved to the east coast in '93. This is a new location, but our friends tell us it is the same pizza. We STILL DREAM of House of Pizza! Let's go to the HOP!

House of Pizza is not my favorite pizza, because as many have said, it is greasy, however, like a good greasy burger and fries, it's enjoyable when eaten in moderation. I read one reviewer who called the atmosphere, "ghetto", a much over used term, that I don't think applies here. It's a neighborhood establishment, so if you are snob, who doesn't want to rub elbows with local regulars and working class folk, then go elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a fine place for large parties, we've held a few here and plan to have more in the future.

We've been going here for years. Absolutley the best pizza around. You've got to try the 'Confusion'... yum! Look for Dau... she's the best!! Friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go again!
