This has become my new favorite restaurant. I have been here three times and each time has tried a new dish. The first time I went with the skirt steak. It was prepared medium rare and was very juicy and tender. The second time I tried the I tried the fish. It was very fresh and tasty, but wow was I impressed about the pork tenderloin. This was absolutely fabulous. It has a nice tangy sauce that really brings out the favor in the meat. If you want a good mean without going to SF, this is truly a hidden gem in Saratoga.
My wife and I are regulars at The Basin. Andrew and his staff always greet us by name and with a warm welcome when we arrive.
The atmosphere is spectacular and the food extraordinary with varied seasonal menus. The wine list is very good and includes multiple selections from the near by Santa Cruz Mountain Wineries. It's also a single malt scotch lovers paradise.
The Basin is truly a local treasure.
The ambience and food are both great. One can definitely taste the different flavors of the seasonal and organic produce !The cheese selection paired with an extensive collection of local and foreign wines is a good way to celebrate any special evening!
Very courteous staff and good service.
