last time I went there the food was terrific
large broad menu with almost too many choices
the service was quite good contrary to some other of the reviews and I left with full and satisfied with a doggybag...I also really liked the jazz band that was playing that night in the bar
Happy Hour at the GVG Lounge: We like Happy Hour at GVG. Good snacks and J.P the bartender is GREAT...good people! Food is excellent quality.
Best salmon (from a non-fish-eater): I agree with the other 2 reviews that the service is poor at Green Valley Grill.
However, it IS the only place in Watsonville to get higher quality food.
My favorite is the salmon salad; I dislike seafood, but I want the health-benefits of the omega-3's in salmon, and this is one of the only restaurants where I don't turn up my nose.
Food's very good / almost would say great,
Service is ok / somewhat poor,
Ambiance is a little hokey - trying a little too hard to be an upscale restaurant
