I have been using Martin for about 5 years. Prior to that I had tried Tutbotax, H&R block and other options but once I started with Martin, I have no reservations in saying he provides excellent, professional and timely service in simple and complex matters. What I liked most about him was that not only did he save us money but he helped us unravel complex questions. I also find his newsletters informative and helpful. I strongly recommend him for your financial consulting needs.
We used Martin Lowe last year for our 2007 taxes for the first and last time. He had a great web site so we thought his services would be equivalent. However, when we met up with him, we felt like we were wasting his time (since he had all these other customers already ahead of us in the queue) and was rushed out of his home office. The service he provided was not worth the price we paid. In this valley, two dual incomes are required in order to make ends meet. Because of that, we end up being in the higher tax brackets. When we asked him for some basic tax advice he told us to claim 'zero' since we made too much money or buy a million dollar home so we can write down the interest against. After only spending a half hour with him he charged us an outrageous amount of 1200 dollars. When tax season came around this year, we declined his services. Also our brother n law had a very similar experience so we were definitely not alone in our viewpoint
This is Martin Lowe, CPA replying to bluemoon's above review. Clearly this "review" is not really a review at all as it is full of lies to try to malign my services. I have never charged more than $125 for a half hour appointment. Therefore, anything in this supposed "review" can be completely disregarded.
