Having spent a lot of time in and around this particula Black Angus, it was a pleasant place to be, the staff was very social and eager to please and the atmosphere was very kid friendly. My only wishes for improvement were that their steaks were mediocure (I don't know how you ruin rare prime rib) and there are often miscommunications between managers, waiters, and hosts when it comes to seating. It was a shame to see that place close down.
Loved it.: Very nice meal in nice atmosphere, for a fair price. Good service too!
One of the best for the price: My wife and I have only been to this Black Angus once, and sadly enough, it was due to a coupon flyer we recieved in the mail. It was a dinner for two coupon that was an surprisingly amazing meal for the price. But to top off the excellent food, we recieved some of the most spectacular service we've ever recieved for a restaurant in it's class. Our waiter went beyond most bounds to please us. There was some miscommunication between the staff in the beginning with the seating. We were less than impressed to say the least in the initial impression of the restaurant. Apparently we were at a table where there was no one waiting on it. We flagged down a staff member after 10 minutes of waiting and he apologized about the problem and took us in and moved us to another table prompty, and from there he gave us his full attention to any of our needs. It was obvious he was busy, but he smiled and took our orders without hesitation. Everything was prompt, from the drinks to our food. He checked on us frequently and apologized for the problems in the beginning. Practically saving the dinner and giving us a great time in the process.
There were a few minor problems. Although we had a nice big booth in a quiet area, there were tables around us with children that were loud. But that cannot be controlled whilst dining out. The lighting at night is a bit brighter than hoped for and sitting near what seemed to be the kitchen, there was a lot of loud clammering and ruckus once in a while. But overall, it was a nice environment and a nice getaway from home.
We will be definitely be back.
