Bad sales attitude: After we had rented a Nissan Murano for a week, my wife and I decided to purchase one. An older salesperson introduced himself to us and began telling us his life story i.e. he was a former CEO of some high-tech company and that he didn't really need this job, etc. When I asked for a test drive in a Murano, he asked when I was planning to buy this. I answered within a year. With that, he said to come back when we were ready to buy!
We quickly went to another salesperson and bought that vehicle from a young man who treated us with courtesy and respect. As we drove the fully-loaded Murano off the lot, the older salesperson stared at us with his mouth agape. As we passed by him, I rolled down the window and said, "Being a former CEO, you probably didn't need the money anyway, did you? You may want to work on that attitude". At that, he frowned and turned his back to us.
Otherwise, the purchasing process was quick and painless and the rest of the dealership was very courteous and friendly.
Moral of the story:
Don't deal with arrogant salespeople when you don't have to...
