    Since Pete and Ema took over Pop's Cafe it has been great! My hubby, daughter and I eat here at least once a week and we are never disappointed! The service is always with a smile. The food is always tasty and well presented. The menu choices are diverse. The Chicken gyro is wonderful and the Hushpuppies are a favorite of ours. Pete's soups are always homemade and never overly spiced. We take our out of town visitors here as a treat to good ol' mountain food. It's an all around great family restaurant!

    Best place to eat. Biscuits and gravy the best in the state, Steak sandwich and Chicken breast sandwich very good and portions large, best Fsh and chips in the West. The gyro even better than that which you get in Greece. Best burgers also. All ingredients are freshly prepared. Excellent value, very clean. All the staff are friendly and really extend themselves to provide you with terriffic service. Menu has a wide variety.

    I live in Mariposa, CA. I retried here from the San Francisco Bay Area several years ago. I was
    use to having my Breakfast at" Emo Villa's" on the East Bay as well as "Stacks" on the Peninsula.

    Pops Sportsman Café is probably your best bet in Mariposa County. Not only is the food always Above Average and consistent, the Service is most Friendly. Pop's Pricing is the Best in Mariposa, in which they don't over charge at Tourist Rates. Quality Food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Pop's is a short drive from downtown Mariposa and is well worth the drive for the Quality and savings! To rate this restaurant compared to other Mariposa Restaurants, It deserves Five Stars! It's about ten minutes heading towards Oakhurst and well worth the ten minute drive! Great food, Great Prices and always a friendly warm atmosphere. The new owners run a very clean establishment.
