BEST BODY SHOP BY FAR!!! TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF MY LINCOLN WHILE BEING REPAIRED...AND CLEANER THAN WHEN I TOOK IT IN, WOULD NOT TAKE MY VEHICLE ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!
No one touches my cars BUT Rich's Auto Body!: I am a complete maniac about my cars! Thusly, it only makes sense that no one can touch them except the crew at Rich's Auto Body. They're professional and certainly know their job. I have always been totally satisfied with the service and personal touches I receive at Rich's.

I would certainly agree with oceankisses. "Greed" seems to be the operative word at Rich's. They kept our car for five weeks and never turned it on, so when we picked it up, the battery died shortly thereafter and we had to rent a car. They refused to pay for the rental. They wouldn't let us pick up our car because they hadn't received the check from a very reputable insurance company. We had to wait two more days for the car. Their employees were consistently less than helpful and always defensive despite a certain forced politeness. By the way, the owner's name is Rich Leonard, and you can check out his credentials on the California State Bureau of Auto Repair.(Search without the apostrophe: Richs) I find it interesting that they hide their last names from their customers. While there was nothing wrong with the body work, any other good shop in town could do as well, hopefully without the major hassles we experiened. If something happens to your car, be sure to drive right past the appropriately named "Richs"--their Riches being the major focus of ther shop. The customer is last.

People such as yourself never cease to amaze me. OF COURSE they didn't let you pick up your car without payment - matters not if payment was from you or the insurance company! Would you sell something to someone and let them take it out of your business on the promise that payment would be "forthcoming?" I think not! Talk to different Auto Body repair Shops and let them tell you HOW MUCH MONEY they've had to write off due to letting people take their vehicles on the promise of payment from an insurance company. Your comment about the owners name and how interesting you find it that they hide their name....you really must be a baffon not to know that this shop has been in Merced for over 44 years! Hide their name??? I think NOT-Not to mention that this shop has the owners name in the Merced Sunstar every week in an atomotive tips article he writes....and just as a note of interest to you-the owner's name is Leonard Rich NOT Rich Leonard....which kinda gives one an idea about how informed you actually are...And Yes, this most certainly is a friend and very satisfied customer of Rich's Auto Body.
