absolutely gorgeous and had amazing service! loved my wedding!
Horrible Food: We went there for Sunday Brunch. It was absolutley the worst Sunday Brunch ever!! Ever had a steamed English Muffin with your eggs benedict? No regular scrambled eggs or anything - took forever, food was cold and they charge $30 a head. A total rip-off. Will never go there ever again.
This review is for The Nest (spa): I was at Wine & Roses for a daytime business function and had some spare time at the end. I decided to visit the spa. There weren't any directional signs ; I wandered around and found it. The spa must've just opened because they had a sheet of paper on the front, glass door with the name handwritten on it.
The grounds at this place are beautiful overall. I found the bathroom/shower area a bit sterile. The cleanliness and organization made up for a lack of design. The steam room is all white tile, also sterile. A drawback to the room is that it steams up so much that you cannot see your hand in front of your face. This is a potential safety hazard and accident waiting to happen. There are lights illuminating the room, but I have never been in a room where the mist gets so quick I cannot find my way to the exit, even in a small space.
Unfortunately I did not have a bathing suit, so I was unable to take advantage of the outdoor pools. There is a warm one and a cool one. The atmosphere was very tranquil and relaxing. The spa is secluded from the main grounds by adequate foliage. I relaxed in the Tranquility Room until my appointment service time. This room is one of the most well done features of the entire spa. The decor is beautiful, its colors balanced, the music and temperature perfect and, the view of the landscaping makes you forget about the numerous strip malls in Lodi. The oversized chairs were particularly comfortable.
I had a mud wrap. I wish I could remember the technician's name. She was very nice and confident in her skills. The wrap ended with my taking a shower in an outdoor space outside the spa treatment room. This was a very nice surprise and definitely a unique touch. There is a large shower in the spa room for rainy days or those that don't want to go outside. No worries, the outdoor space is perfectly secluded.
I think The Nest has a couple of kinks to work out, but well on their way to having success @ Wine & Roses. If I go to W&R again, I will definitely book another spa treatment.
