User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsHad a bad experience here six months ago and thought I'd give Carino's another try. What a mistake I made. Our latest and last experience occured on 10/17/09.
Arrived twenty minutes after opening for lunch. The hostess couldn't even manage a smile or to say hello, just asked "how many?"
Ordered two panini sandwiches that took 30 minutes to arrive. They only had two other occupied tables to service at time of order.
Our "waitress" walked by our empty iced tea glasses twice and never bothered to refill. In fact, from the time we ordered til the time our food was delivered she never even came back to our table once. She was too busy talking to the bartender. The food was "ok" but nothing special and at $9.99 for a pannini it was not a good value. Based on our latest visit and our previous visit, it's obvious that the Carino's wait staff could not care less, or are incapable, of giving anything but marginal, border line rude service.
The cleanliness of the resteraunt is atrocious. Food crumbs swept under tables, streaked table tops, bus station quality mens bathroom. We witnessed one of the tables being cleaned. The person cleaning used the same dirty wet towel to wipe down the seats AND the table top. Gross.
There are many better dining choices in the immediate area of Vintage Faire Mall. I'm not sure how this eatery stays in business but they have seen the last of me.-

Wow, what glowing reviews. I thought the food was totally disgusting!! The worst Italian food i have eaten.

The closest to authentic Italian food you can get in the area. It's little expensive, but you get what you pay for and it gives better portions than most.
