So I got a ticket & decided to take the traffic school option. Originally I planned on take the MJC class but winded up taking the class at Love's. This was my first time taking this type of class since I got my license 24 years ago and that was in a different state. But I was impressed by this school and instructor. I did learn a lot of things I was not aware of. Small things but still important things. The instructor was very informative and thorough. She gave us comparison information that showed us the difference in statistics which impressed me (good & bad). I have changed my views on driving - I used the think that when I was on my way some where that was my focus not about others on their way some where as well. Or pulling out into the intersection when turning left on a solid green waiting till it's cleared. I didn't realize or even think about emergency crews if they came and me blocking them if coming the opposite direction. She really did show me the light so to speak. I'm glad I took this class even if it was because I got a speeding ticket (yes, I've slowed down too). I've suggested to friends that they should take the class to get more updated info considering it's been years since we've attended drivers training..... With this in mind I think drivers should have to take a brush up class every 10 to 15 years of driving honestly. There was a guy next to me that said he had been driving for 30 years and more than half the signs we were tested on he had no clue what they meant. He said they didn't have them when he was taught. WOW. It's amazing how we go along in this world and have certain privileges such as a drivers license and don't stay up with the needed information like signs. Not to mention that when you go to another state some times there are different rules but they don't require you to be educated in them..... So to those reading this - take any class this business has to offer and you won't regret it. I learned a lot & you may as well....... My only complaint is this - there was a guy in the class that thought he knew every thing and was friends with the instructor. He continued to talk through the day while she was teaching us like he knew every thing. Now you ask - why was he there. Speeding ticket (again - he was kind enough to share that). Now how old is he you may ask - he was turning 18 the next day. How could he know every thing - he wanted to be a cop and was taking those classes needed for that career. GREAT - a guy like this and he's wanting to be Modesto's finest legal law breaker.... I almost wanted to tell him to shut up so I could here the instructor BUT I didn't.. Dang kid.
