I am from the Valley and just happened upon this place. GLAD I did! Great food and selection on the buffet, incl. sushi. But I saw quite a few local people come in and order off the menu rather than eat buffet...must be very good as well. $6.95 for lunch buffet and every bit as good or even better than some Chinese buffets in the Valley. The only shortcoming I saw was that the desert bar is a little on the light side-not a lot to offer. They have ice cream in a tub they have to scoop out for you when you ask for it, basic flavors. I found all of the employees to be very pleasant and courteous, not sometinhg often found in todays restaurants. They were also helpful in cleaning away our empty plates quickly-don't forget to TIP, any buffet waitress works much harder than a regular waitress. Jeez, this sounds like a commercial but, really, its all true in my humble opinion.

Our third grade Sonora Elementary School classroom visited the Mandarin House today in honor of Chinese New Year. We were served the most delicious chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork. Everyone was so nice to us, including the owners Mrs. Chen and Mr. Huang, and the servers Peter and Mrs. Sue Huang. The dining room is comfortable and gracious, with pretty chandeliers. We came in hungry and we left happy and full. We would recommend this restaurant to any family with children. We think the Mandarin House is the best in town.

the food and service changed much better ever since they took the ownership over on summer 2007. I visit there like at least twice a week for their buffet. The waiter and waitress there are so nice and their food are great. I love their chicken Kabob and cheese and crab puffs. I bring my parents in every monday since they begin to have 30 percent off for seniors on Monday. this restaurant is my favorite in town, definaly the most recommand for people to visit.
