This is the best sushi I have found in the area. I keep trying new places and always return here. The rolls are very large, filling and always fresh. Good service and resonable prices. It is always a packed house. The owners are always so kind.

I have lived here since 1992, and have been eating at Sakura on a regular basis. The sushi is great, the service is great, the atmosphere is great. Some of these reviewers are snobs. One reviewer even gave a negative comment on La Gare, one of the best places to eat in SR. Please check it out for yourself. Sincerely, Jeff

The sushi is not great. Please try again. *vomit* I know that you don't know what freshness is and that you probably don't eat nigiri and stick to your Americanized rolls and probably have never eaten uni in your life, BUT still I will recommend Hana in Rohnert Park which, by definition, kicks this place's ass. Sakura is by far the worst sushi place I've been to in Sonoma County. Top 2: 1. Hana in RP 2. Tozai in Sebastopol. Sakura is a joke. UGH.

I think Hana and Tozai are good but I like Sakura much better. And yes I know sushi is not all rolls by the way. Rolls are my least favorite. I don't understand why you are such a rude angry person. It is sad really. Please keep showing everyone what a moron you are so they know to ignore your ignorant comments.

I'm reviewing this place... AGAIN... to STRESS how much this place sucks. I really wish I could give this 0 stars.

IF YOU LIKE THIS PLACE, YOU ARE A NEWB AND YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT JAPANESE FOOD. Ugh. Seriously. I don't know as much as people from Japan, obviously, but it seems like people in Northern California suck at sushi. Please go to every restaurant in LA county and then come talk to me, please. I love when people are like, HAVE YOU TRIED THIS PLACE? THE EEL ROLLS ARE SO GOOD. Dude. As far as I and true sushi eaters are concerned, if your favorite type of nigiri is eel, you don't deserve the title "sushi eater."

I deserve to be arrogant. I know that I'm talking about... SAKURA SUCKS.

You are transparent! You are young, inexperienced and a rube. Did I mention disrespectful? Not that it would matter, but someone needs to tell you: Arrogance is not a virtue. Your palate is unenlightened and tainted by too much taco bell. No sushi for you! sincerely, the sushi nazi

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL oh my god. I eat at Taco Bell every night... you're right. Favorite food in the world is good ole drive through allegedly Mexican food. Oh my god. Thanks for the great laugh. Young and inexperienced, you say? I probably have been to more sushi restaurants than you could imagine. It's a hobby of mine, and yes, it's actually really sad how obsessed and snobbish I am about it. But you know, I am a snob for a reason. Just wondering... what crap town did you live in before that allowed you to think that Sakura was great? Are you by any chance from Texas? If so, just to let you know, Chinese and Japanese aren't the same, because I know you probably think otherwise. Enjoy your Chinese sushi, newb.

I had to add this: Sakura is the McDonald's of Japanese food... except that the quality of food at Sakura is not worth the amount of money they charge. Sakura : Hana (Rohnert Park) :: McDonald's : Mike's at the Crossroads (Burger joint in Cotati)

We have lived here almost 20 years, and my family loves this place. I have eaten at more places than I can count both inside and outside the U.S. Everybody has a right to their opinion certainly, but you know what they say...opinions are like a@##@#oles, everyone has one. Lighten up lady...i have eaten at some bad places...and this is not one of them. Enjoy your burger.
