I had a chance to visit a friend in Turlock this past weekend. She had suggested Vito's. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was fabulous, the fresh bread that was brought to us immediately was also fabulous. Our order was taken with a smile. I ordered a house salad and a BBQ chicken pizza. When my food was placed on the table, my eyes nearly popped out of my head. The pizza was a very good size for an individual pizza, the toppings were so fresh that the combination of smells just simply overwhelmed me. Much better than California Pizza Kitchen. If you have a chanc to check it out, please do so, you won't be disappointed.
Reminds me of a San Francisco style Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Food is pretty good at a
reasonable price. I love the warm buttery oven baked bread they make there & bring out to you, unlike most Italian Restaurants that buy it from vendors or Costco and is on the stale side. The ambiance inside is nice and has romantic lighting. It is not located in a very busy, commercial area so great when you want to go somewhere a little secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The have a large patio in the front where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner on a nice sunny afternoon or warm evening. The wine selection is not the best I've seen but it is fair for Turlock. The restrooms are clean. The restaurant is pretty spacious as well. It is under new ownership and has changed for the better with the new owners.
For the second time in a month, I picked up a takeout order (a salad with chicken) and discovered upon returning to work that I got a salad with NO chicken. I let it go the first time, but this time I called back (over and over) and no one picked up the phone! I am so angry. Extremely poor customer service. The man who handed me my order did not appear to speak English and pointed to the oven but the waitperson said the order was ready. Not going there again and will spread the word.

No chicken? It's not the end of the world. The workers are human too. They make mistakes.
