I have been going to the Owl Cafe for years. The food and service are great. I would recommend the Owl Cafe to my friends when they are traveling north to the wine country. Real home cooking with a family atmosphere.

What a great place to eat ! Now called the Historic Owl Cafe.
I was told the Owl ahd been serving food almost consistently for about 80 years . Im betting not many restaurants can say that. the food was unbelievable ,i had the home made and i mean no kidding home made corned beef hash .to die for. my wife had huge blueberry pancakes,and the kids had chicken fried steak,they loved there home made gravy. three great pics off the menu ,i can only imagine what the rest of the huge menu is like. forgot to mention the home made hashbrowns. no fake stuff there. Try it.

Considering the days before the freeway went through Cloverdale. This cafe was very busy. Probably a hot spot back then. Back when all North Bound traffic went right through town. Although the large cafe doesn't seem to be that busy these days. Don't forget this is a small town. I have stopped by numerous times for breakfast. Never disappointed. Very friendly atmosphere. Perfect portion size. Haven't had lunch there but will return for breakfast.
