AWFUL IS NOT THE WORD, MY LORD, PAID 11.00 FOR ONE MEAL, FOOD WAS OLD, RICE WAS LIKE MUSH, FOOD WAS REALLY OLD.
DON'T GO THERE
Don't plan on conversation. The place is so noisy that the decibels are high even as you walk by on the sidewalk. The food is sort of pretentious Cal-Mex, a farther west version of Tex-Mex.
A good restaurant if you are into a flashy experience. The food can best be categorized as Sonoma chic Mexican. I have traveled in Mexico extensively and have not found typical Mexican food comparable to what Maya serves.
