While traveling in Northern CA we ate at the Country Skillet and found the food to be excellent. It was prepared correctly and was presented in a very appetizing appearance with a very poised yet friendly waitress. We found the prices were those of a restaurant with quality food and right in line with other café restaurants that we have eaten at. We also found the restaurant to be extremely clean and the staff was consistently cleaning. We would recommend this restaurant and will be stopping in again. Country Skillet Thank you
We ate at the Country Skillet in Willits. The food was decent. The prices, however, were outrageous. The breakfast entrees, for the most part, did not include sausage AND bacon, they were all either/or, and most were at least 9.95. Are you kidding me? Denny's and Country Kitchen food is as good or better, and you get way more for your hard earned money. I paid 2.95 for one pancake to add to my entree. These days, 10 dollars for a breakfast is ridiculous. We stayed, we payed, but we were starving and didn't want to pack up and move down the road to a more reasonable establishment. Our butts weren't glued to the booth and nobody had a gun at our back, so it was our fault....BUT...if you are driving back or are on the way to Fort Bragg and get hungry, drive by this place and get cheaper and more abundant food at any of the other diners you 'll see along the way. Not recommended.
I ate at the Country Skill 11 years ago and I still haven't forgotten the incredible omelette I had there. Even though I live not far away in Santa Rosa, I haven't been able to get back to Willits and the Country Skillet. I've recommended it to many people heading up that way, however.
