FROM THE EAST TO THE WEST, THIS ICE CREAM SHOP IS THE BEST!
Cowlicks, located in downtown Fort Bragg, is hands down the best ice cream shop I've ever been too.
Just a short drive up the beautiful north coast, just north of the picturesque town of Mendocino you find yourself in the charming town of Fort Bragg. Cowlicks is located on the east side of Fort Bragg's Main St. walking distance from the Bank of America parking lot. My family and I were impressed with the friendly employee's and especially the owner who encouraged us to try samples of the unconventional flavors such as; the mushroom and pumpkin ice cream. They were to die for; to say the least! My daughter and I enjoyed two scoops each of the mushroom and pumpkin, while my other daughter enjoyed the conventional, but equally delicious, strawberry. We were so impressed with the ice cream that we went back for more before we left for home. This time we didn't just buy a couple of scoops we also purchased our favorite flavors by the quart.
Next time you get a craving for something delicious, and you want something cold, drive up/down or over to Fort Bragg California and stop in to Cowlicks. We plan to go back for our daughters birthday and pick up one of those fabulous ice cream cakes we saw in the cold case. Why buy a cake at one place and pick up the same old mass produced ice cream with artificial ingredients, when you can get an awesome ice cream cake made with natural ingrediants that taste like the ice cream grandma made..
