Great local place, funky with the feel of Guerneville and an outdoor patio overlooking the river and the old bridge. The pizza is the best I've had on the west coast - no fooling - especially when Suzie and Shirley are working. A good, safe bet when you need your pizza fix.
Nice atmosphere & okay food.: The food at Andorno's is okay (it hasn't been called Jirks for AGES), the people are nice & the atmosphere's fun. They serve pizza & a short menu of subs, salads & pasta dishes. The meatball subs are the best of the lot, I think. They have a good beer & wine selection (many of them local) & only one dessert ... a decadently moist, chocolately & delicious brownie.
I definitely like their outdoor deck. They have video games & a pin ball machine & coin-operated sticker dispenser for the kids if you like that sort of thing & even an adorable two-seater table with a functioning game of Pac Man.
I wish they (1) didn't put so much sugar in their tomato sauce; and (2) offered more pasta dishes (i.e. ones without their tomato sauce). Aside from my personal tomato sauce preferences, their food is well-prepared, reasonably priced, & their service is friendly.
I also feel obliged to point out that I am REALLY picky about food. I know lots of people (especially my daughter) who think Andorno's pizza's the bee's knees.
Andorno's is good: I'll put the pasta, pizza, salad bar at 4stars. The meatballs, garlic fries, and buffalo wings at 4.3stars. Hamburger patty ~3.4stars. Family, kid, sports-team friendly, plus arcade games. Sometimes, out of chicken strips for the little kiddies. Guerneville has a sizable outdoor eating area/deck. A solid 4stars overall.
