Absolutely the worst salmon dinner I've ever had! First of all, I ordered a "grilled" salmon. This salmon was cooked in a pan. The cook later explained that they don't grill because it's too messy on the grill! He said that he intends to have the word "grilled" removed from the menu. They could have told me that when I ordered "grilled" salmon! I was amazed at how absolutely tasteless this salmon was. It tasted as if it was stored under water for 5 days. Flavorless! The clam chowder, however, was excellent and my wife raved about the fish tacos she ordered. Also, watch out for a waiter named Dominic. He's Mama Carine's son. A strange one for sure. He'll tell you all about how he was in a movie with Julia Roberts and that his stage name is Buddy Love. He'll also go on and on about his entire family - all of this with no provocation from my family at all! Very strange man! Apparently, he now lives in Arkansas and was just visiting to help Mama Carine out in the restaurant. Lastly, I'm quite sure Dominic and Mama Carine could see my dissapointment in my meal, but to my surprise, on our way out Mama Carine turned to the chef and told him how much we loved our tacos and salmon!! Ha! I won't say don't go to the restaurant, just don't order the salmon!

Carines Fish Grotto is the best ever! My husband and I were on a much needed vacation and it was our wedding anniversary so we thought we would go to the wharf while in Fort Bragg. We have never in our lives had such a delicious Lobster dinner and it was huge!! We had to ask for a container. The service was exceptional!! If you are in Fort Bragg please go there and give it a try, you will be glad you did

Carine's Restaurant was as inviting as a sunday dinner with the family (homemade,fresh, good food! ) I had their seafood alfredo & of course the clam chowder ( yum ), the carine' are such welcoming host..what an experience...Can't wait to go back!
