User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI recently purchased a used car from opies, and began having problems with it immediately. They told me there was nothing wrong with it, however, it continued to act up. They would not give me a rental car to drive while it was being fixed, and told me there was no such thing as a lemon law, they were wrong, according to california law sec. 1793.02 and others, there is a lemon law for used cars. They laughed at me, and told me I was wrong and hung up on me. This was their general manager!!! Opies is the worst car dealership I have ever worked with and I believe them to be crooks. I am now contacting a lawyer to get done what I tried to get done, fix my car and give me something to drive in the interm. Anthony Horn

Opie's is, by far, the most over-priced, pain-in-the-ass, complicated car lot in Humboldt County. When I had $8,500 cash to buy a car following an injury and settlement they INSISTED on trying to force me into using that as a "down payment" and roping me into a HUGE loan, we're talking $20k - $30k loans, knowing my ability to make payments was limited. They acted like $8,500 {back in 2000} was nothing and I was insulting them by even suggesting they sell me something in my price range.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOutstanding Service: When my husband and I were involved in an accident, we had no way of getting around to doctor's appointments that were important to saving our unborn child. In spite of our credit, Tom Howard and the gang at Opie's financed us in this moment of need. We thank you so much and the Ford Explorer is running wonderfully and we will be back to get a second vehicle when time allows....Thanks
