    I agree with the previous writer that the place
    if more American than Mexican. The food is not
    authentic Mexican but they must be appealing to
    the Fortuna crowd who doesn't know any better!

    Las Caz is a great place. I'll keep going back. My favorite is super nachos no peppers and chile negro.

    I've been to Las Caz in Fortuna only half a dozen times. It's good enough, but seems more "American-Mexican" than truly authentic. Pricier than the better (in my opinion) Mi Rancho.

    The ambiance is more American, and it's the only Mexican restaurant in Fortuna that serves hard alcohol, so this may be your best choice for out-of-town guests who are leary of Mexican restaurants.
