I wanted to take the time to make a few comments on your cafe.
First off I would like to say you have a wonderful new location very nice inside good atmosphere inside.
There are a lot of average places to have breakfast in Crescent City. By the looks of your new place I thought you would take going to breakfast in Crescent City up a notch, sadly you did not.
From just looking at your menu there's a limited selection and give me a break "cheddar cheese" sauce on eggs Benedict.
I had the pancakes and eggs with sausage, good pancakes hard to go wrong there but my eggs were cold. Had a taste of my wife potatoes and you need to seriously think of something different to do with your potatoes for breakfast.
Didn't have the coffee but if you used the same water I had with my breakfast as you use in you coffee the health department might be interested in the iron level in your water, I still feel like I have the taste in my mouth.
Lastly I personally don't think it's to strange to ask for a beer and tomato juice for breakfast not common but not weird either, come on you have a full bar upstairs tho you may be understaffed to serve up a Bloody Mary I sure someone might be able to pull off a beer w/tomato juice
Like I said I was hoping you would take going out to breakfast up a notch around here, like gourmet coffee as standard served coffee, filtering your water, how about the real deal sauce for your eggs Benedict, get a little more creative with your potatoes. With the prices you charge for breakfast it's like going out to a good breakfast house minus the food quality and for god sake serve at least beer for breakfast if someone wants it and bloody marrys would be over the top.
You have the potential to be a notch above and why you don't go there is beyond me. If the owners ever take a trip to Tahoe stop by the Fire Sign Cafe on the west shore then you'll know what I'm talking about
The Good Harvest Cafe is by far the best restaurant/cafe I have ever been to.
As a vegetarian who does not like tofu, it's very rare for me to find something other than a salad at most places. The Good Harvest Cafe had a ton of options; it was hard to choose!
The "Crescent City's Best Sandwich" was absolutely delicious. The vegetarian chili was really good, though a tad spicy for my taste, but I don't tolerate spiciness well.
I wish we had one near our house.
Great breakfast stop; the eggs benedict and omelets are great so are the huevos rancheros!
