"Old School": Stanton's is an old-fashioned restaurant in the best sense of that phrase. For me, it has the feel of the better 1950's places I experienced as a young child on trips with my parents. I've eaten there many times over the years when visiting & passing through Eureka. The food, ambiance & service are all to my liking and the prices are reasonable. I've had a couple of so-so meals over the years, but on the whole, they have ranged from good to great. I've had a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch & dinner. They do a great Cobb salad, great breakfasts & usually very good steaks and other "carnivore fare." They serve breakfast all day, which I like because I'm not a big early-in-the-day eater. Most recently, I had a late-night omelette with pancakes substituted for potatoes (either country or hashbrowns). The waitress was prompt, friendly & attentive, which I have always found to be the case.
