    We'e been to Mike's so many times since we moved to EG 3 yrs ago, the servers know us well! The food is good and the service is great. It's a family business and they make you feel like part of it. The servers always greet u with a smile and are always making sure we have everything we need. It's our family's favorite breakfast place so far.

    Owner and Manager, (Elk Grove Mikes 50's Diner)
    When the Diner was Mel's, is was always great! Now it is Mikes and is SO SO. the service is poor and the food is only OK. However, your long time server Sarah is wonderful. On 8-11-09 I called to find out your soups for the evening, then tried to call back with our 4 To Go Orders. NO ONE ever answered. We tried for 35 min.. What is up with no one available to answer the phone?!!! We gave up and ate at MiMi's. They always answer the phone and always have great service and food.

    Wow, hard to believe the owner acted like that.

    Service is always great fir us and our 2 little girls. One time my youngest dropped a toy and it rolled behind the juke box. Owner came out and helped us move it right there and then gave her some gum on the way out the door.

    This is one of only 2 breakfast places that we will go to in town. Both sets of grandparents like it and my daughters LOVE it. When we had the house/kitchen worked on we ate there 4 times in 3 days and had the same server each time. Always a smile and always treating the girls nice.
