I called this store because they were listed under "fudge" when I typed it in the local search engine for ideas for a gift to a huge fudge fan. On my lunch break, I got in the car and called to ask, "Do you have a lot of different varieties of fudge?" The east-indian accented, impatient person on the phone said, "Yes." I said, "Great! Where are you in the outlets?" He huffed that they were in the Folsom Factory Outlets. I told him I knew that, I just needed to know where it was in the outlets. He frustratedly told me it was by BOSS! I timidly asked him to tell me again and it was BUSS! BSS! BOSE! Well, turns out it's by BASS and company. Thanks. When I got in there, there were FOUR different types of pre-packaged, brownie-sized pieces of chocolate fudge. I can't think of a more dissappointing selection. WOW. What a horrible waste of time. The guy who was on the phone with me did not say hello or offer to help me in any way. He just made caramel apples over by the window and glared at me as I looked at the fudge. I left without saying goodbye and was so angry that I'd wasted my entire lunch break trying to get fudge. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, you have made sure I will NEVER set foot in your badly-run business ever again
Years ago I used to go shopping at the Folsom Outlets all the time, and nothing was better than a stop into the chocolate shop! They used to give free samples and the little store was so inviting and clean (not to mention the heavenly smell of chocolate and caramel!). I moved out of the area but was back in town and my girlfriend and I were shopping so I just had to stop in for a quick fix. I don't know what happened to that place, but the staff was rude, the floor was wet and mopped with the mats rolled up against the cabinets, the cases had smears all over them and were so dirty I could hardly see the chocolate, and let's not forget to mention the prices!!! It cost me over $6 to get a sprinkle covered marshmallow for my son and a cashew cluster for myself. Both of the candies were stale and old tasting...it was gross and a waste of money (I should have just walked out but I felt obligated to buy something). I suggest you go to See's Candy or another store, this place is a huge disappointment!!!
