I am a CSU Chico grad that has had experience with the Celestino's pie. If you don't like seeing a pizza that falls apart on a thin crust you are not a NY Pie eating person. As a person that has ate at the other celestino's locations, Celestinos is by far the closest to that of NY that you will ever get in CA. If you are looking for a deep crust pizza try Zelda's (I think that that place should be sued for selling food that tastes like absolute garbage). NY city pizza simply put comes from two excellent ingredients NY water, and Wisconsin cheeses. I rate the Rocklin location as a person that hasn't eaten at this particular location but, that has eaten at the other locations where it originated in CA. Chico CA is where this joint originated from. It was an excellent pizza parlor and had excellent service at the Salem location. As for the location on East Ave that is a whole other ball game. Your best bet is the one on Salem. I only hope that the owners of the Rocklin location have not skimped on the quality of the foods that they use and that the foods are actually as scrumptuous as that of Chico which as a former NYer I can say is as close to NY pizza other than being in NYC that you will get in CA.
NYPD: Great food overall. We liked the salads the best. Friendly, fast service. Pizza was great. Made just right.
