The most excellent food and service of any deli in downtown Sacramento. I worked accross from the Capitol for 4 years and literally ate here every day. There are so many options downtown, but I just couldn't stay away. Tony's has friendly, homey staff and fresh food. No matter what I was craving, Tony's always had it or was willing to make it for me for a very reasonable price. I can not recommend this place high enough! Go before 11:30 or after 1pm if you want to miss the line. My personal favorites are: the nachos (specials), clam chowder on Fridays (in the cold months), the gyros (sooo yummy, they make the yogurt sauce themselves), the hummus, their breakfast bagels, the Reuban sandwhich, and the pomegranite Italian sodas. Also, Starbucks has nothing on their hot chocolate (and theirs is half the price!).
