I over heard the manager talking to the employee(s). Threatening to fire them basiclly. No one should ever be spoken to like that. He has no business working with the public. Most of those workers are young and impressionalbe .
I ate there but, I will never return. His behavior ruined my meal and my companies meal.
He is an awful man with no respect for others. I hope that someone reports to the owners and he is dismissed !!
Don't go there!
Coming from a person that loves food and appreciates great service, I would definitely recommend this place, especially for their lamb shank entree. I ordered the fall off the bone lamb shank, a $23.00 dish that tasted more like a $36, it was that good. David, our server timed everything perfectly from the cocktails to the bill. I ended up tipping 30% rather than my typical 20%. The chef suggestion wine list had great suggestions at reasonable prices. If you like gorgonzola/blue like cheese try their filo appetizer. My boyfriend had the mussels entree that he really enjoyed. Our guest from out of town ordered the swordfish which he didn't favor too much, which was the only disappointment. I usually do not go for such a main stream type of place, but I was definitely satisfied. We went just last night, which was a damp, chilly, February Saturday evening, but I could imagine reserving a table during a nice Sacramento summer night out on their patio facing the river would make the experience that much better.
Go for the patio dining. Best river front seating in sac, I think. Sunday brunch has unlimited champagne option, and you can linger on patio with the mimosas flowing. The food is mediocre, though. They used to have french toast, but now they don't. Again, go for the patio (and mimosas).
