| About: | Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Due to limited availability of this item, we suggest you reserve your order when making your reservation. |

Archaic and pretentious dress code (wouldn't let me wear a hat). Over priced but tasty steaks, baked potato was bland ( I think it was microwaved), salad and bread were very good. Wine was also very good, but again very pricey. Small dimly lit dining area. Service was excellent but non-food staff were over dressed (tuxedos and and a strapless evening dress on the receptionist). I would have scored them higher but our evening was tainted by a staff member insisting I check my hat. Also felt sorry for the lobster (he was still alive) suffocating on the display cart.
Best steak ever!: My fiance (now husband) and I had dinner 2 days before we got married. It was a fabulous experience that you really need several hours to enjoy. We had theater tickets and didn't allow enough time. Service was excellent and the staff was wonderful. The maitre d knew we were to be married in a couple of days and took a picture of us at our table and said he would email the picture to us when he got home. Sure enough, the next morning, we had the picture. Will definitely go again
very elegant, very expensive, rather small: well it's mortons. one of the nicest restaurants in sacramento. the food is good, the service is impeccable. the bar is tiny. it's a rather small restaurant but the dining room is like something from another side of the country. it's a good choice for a fine dining experience. it's also about as expensive as anywhere in town.

I would find it rude that any male patron would wear a hat indoors, I don't care if its even at McDonalds
wearing hats inside is classless and rude
Women in England wear hats at weddings -- otherwise hats off dude!
ANY PERSON OF QUALITY KNOWS THAT YOU DON'T WEAR A HAT IN A RESTAURANT. BUT I GUESS SACRAMETO STILL HAS A FEW BOZOS.
I'm in total agreement with above comments. "Hats off" to Mortons for sticking with their dress code. There are many places for classless people to eat without pulling the whole world down to their level.
