This is one of the best steakhouses I've had the pleasure to visit.
My fiancee and I decided to dine there before a show at The Palms, and I can't say enough good.
The place was packed, so we were given a pager, and waited at the bar (very nice by the way) where she had a strawberry margarita, and I had a Jameson's (neat). My only disappointment was that they didn't have Black Bushmill's.
Our table was ready in 20 minutes, and we were promptly seated and given some of the freshest French bread and butter. I also began with a nice 22 ounce Stella Artois ale. This was heavenly. Almost immediately, we had soup and salad. Also almost a meal in itself!
Then came our dinners after a proper amount of time to finish soup and salad.
I had the Wednesday special of all you can eat pork ribs that were the best I have ever had served with REAL mashed potatoes, and green beans that were indescribably delicious. The meat was the most flavorful and tender that only would happen in a happy dream except it's for real. My fiancee had the Roadhouse combo, and I got to sample some. All I can say is excellent again! The prawns were outstanding to say the least.
The Buckhorn is a medium priced restaurant averaging about 30 dollars a plate, but it is well worth it! I would go back over and over again.
And as an establishment just across the street from one of the finest local music venues, this all adds up to a perfect dinner date!
The service was very prompt, and extremely knowledgeable and courteous.
Five stars all the way!
I have been going to this place sience I was a little girl back when they had all the taxadermy which they now tamed it down a little bit. I remember when I was about 10 sitting there eating a steak and looking at deers head. I go every year with my fience for our anaversary, make a reservation if you tell them its an anaversary or b day they give you this great ice cream mud pie slice to share its great. I am a prime rib person and swear by it, try the german soup its a meal on to its self. Its a stew almost with prime rib and taters. Will be there again this year
I love this place so much. It is good. My favorite food there is there prime rib i hope you will like it.
