User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI have been going here for almost 16 years. Saturday night 2/7/09 will probably be my last. We got in and grabbed a table. It hadn't beeen cleared off yet. after 10 minutes or so, the waitress came over took our drink order took dishes off the table but never came back and wiped it off.
It took 20-30 minutes for our beverages to come. Another couple joined us. We ordered dinner together and I told the waitress seperate the checks. An hour and a half later when the bill showed up, it was all on one.
It took 25 minutes for the salad and soups to come. 55 minutes for the entries. We were there for 2 hours.
I'm only there 1-2 times a year and have always bragged about the food and beer. But that was enough. If I'm in town again, I'll be going to another brew pub.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Beer with better food!: I highly recommend this brewery to all beer lovers. Consistant food and always great beer. The IPA and Porter are too die for!!!
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsFood :-),but Request a server other than DARCEY!!: As a Sacramento executive local I enjoy visiting the Rubicon on Thursday lunches for the cider and a light dish. The quality of food is always fresh and a great deal. It seems as though the past month the service has had a makeover, and not in a good way. We typically had friendly service even though the place was packed. The last two times however, we had a server who continued to walk away as we were ordering and upon receiving the food there were mistakes on all our dishes as well as the dressing. When we asked for the correct dressing it was brought. Upon looking at our bill we noticed we were charged for "extra dressing". We did not care about the extra dollar, just the principle. If we order ranch and you bring blue cheese, you should not charge to correct the mistake. No attempt was made for guest satisfaction. In fact Smileless Darcey rolled her eyes and made us feel as though we were the ones in the wrong. We visit the Rubicon and order the same thing everytime. We miss the friendly service. We love the Rubicon and really want to come back. I guess if we keep up our Rubicon Thursdays ritual we will call ahead and make sure the rude server DARCEY is not working.
