| About: | The walls display works from the nearby Barton Gallery, and the menu reflects the warm and comfortable feeling of the decor. A variety of classic Italian pasta and seafood mixtures are always available, while steak lovers can enjoy an excellent rosemary wine-marinated New York steak. While its claim to fame is spaghetti with meatballs, the spinach ravioli in a sage sauce is probably the most popular. The bruschetta toast is also highly recommended. My dad is a local artist and was having a art show next door to the resturant, so we thought we should just eat there. this is by far the worse service I ever had. My family and I got to the resturant, there was 4 of us that walked in and about 4 more that were meeting us their. The waitress walked up to us and asked if there was just going to be four of us and we said there are 4 more that were coming. The waitress all of a sudden got an attitude and said well we dont have room for that many people. I noticed there were alot of empty tables already. I told her that they dont have to sit by us. So the waitress showed us to our table, as soon as we were going to sit down our other friends showed up, they werent planing on sitting down, we just gave each other a hug and said
"it was good to see you" and stuff like that. The waitress (she said she was the manager) ran up to us and was yelling " I told you we didnt have enough room for more people" and was specificly pointing to my mom which made me even more mad. we were like, we understand. She said we were being rude and not listening, and she kicked us out of the resturant. My mom is the sweetest person in the world and they kicked us out. I have never been so embarrassed in my life and Im never going back there again. My dad wasnt there but when we told him he was pretty mad too, and said that hes not going to have an art show there again. This is by far the worse service I ever had. I highly recommend NOT to go here. You might as well eat out of a dumpster cause this place is just as bad.I gave it one star but if it could go negative stars I would. Thank you for your time
Consistantly excellent food, with authentic Italian flavors and presentation. We have always had good to excellent service, including a visit to our table from the owner to share her advise about a trip to Italy. And on our return from Italy our consensus was that the food is better at Michelangelo's, except for maybe the real Italian pizza.
Terrible Service! We were a party of 8 on a fairly quiet Sunday night. We did get drinks but sat for a full hour before our waitress dropped by to announce, "Who'd like dessert?" We reminded her we hadn't had any food yet and asked if we might eat first. She apologized and scampered off to the kitchen. It got worse. Next time we saw her we were served a gorgonzola salad with blue cheese, not a big deal except when we asked about the cheese, for some reason this required the manager coming to our table and insisting on prooving how wrong we were about the dumb cheese. She even offered to bring out the plastic wrap the cheese came in. We really weren't that upset about the cheese in the first place.Tid bit of advice for anyone dealing with the public....don't tell your customers they're wrong, it doesn't matter and you make them feel bad. People go out to dinner to feel good and relax not to have someone critique their knowledge on any subject, least of all, cheese. Then we find my 70 year old father in-law had been eating raw chicken picata. We brought it to the managers attention and she said "why didn't you say something earlier?" We ended up being comped for his plate of raw chicken but by then the manager was so angry with us she was just glad to get us out the door. We were glad to be leaving too. Shame on you Michachelango....you got in to a power stuggle over cheese, served raw meat and had the nerve to be mad at us. Won't happen again to this group. There are plenty of fine dining experiences in Sacramento and we plan to spend our Sunday evenings elsewhere!

Hey Laurie, my name is Adrian I just read your review and we got the same service if not worse. Read my review please. I cant believe a resturant with such poor costumer service is still in business.
