possibly worst dealership/service dept in the nation.
After selling me an absoulte lemon of a truck they have screwed up more repairs than I care to list here. They never wash truck after work like any other dealship, and I have been kept waiting for up to an hour more than once after I was called and told to come down to pick up my truck. I will never let this bunch of goons work on my truck again, and do to the poor customer service will never buy another car or truck from Dodge, Jeep, or Chrystler!!!!!!!
On Feb. 12,2008 I had took my vehicle to get inspected. At the end of the the inspection they told me that the Transmission pan gasket was leaking and needed a new Filter. I have warranty on the vehicle and that covers the parts that need to be fixed. They said that they we not going to replace the pan gasket and that they were just going to put silicon on it. Why the heck would you do that??? Why would I pay a deductible of $100 bucks just for then to put silicon on it???? Got into an argument with the guy there b/c of it! So, I went in and payed the damn' $110 to get my vehicle out and went some where else where they would REPLACE the pan gasket! DON'T EVER go there! A few days later my vehicle started to over heat! I think they F**ked with my Vehicle!!! BAD SERVICE and CHEAP A**ES!

This rated as one of the very worst experiences I've had at a car dealership. I've purchased 2 new cars from dealerships in Sacramento and several used ones over the years. I do not suggest Elk Grove Dodge and if you should find yourself there for what ever reason and you must buy a car, steer clear of Gary Haynes, he will not make eye contact and he uses god to sell cars, trying to make you believe he's honest because he believes in god. Not cool Gary!
I received a pre-approved credit line for a used automobile from Virtual Lending Source for use at Elk Grove Dodge. I was told to speak to Gary Haynes the finance manager to get all the details. I went into the dealership to speak with Gary about looking over their used car inventory.
Upon going into Gary's office, he made eye contact one time. He spoke to me while typing at his computer. I asked him for eye contact, he said I'd have to wait. I waited and waited and waited. He explained to me as he look at his computer screen that I'd have to fill out an application even though I was preapproved and even though I wasn't certain they had a car on the lot that would serve my needs. I asked what he had in my price range and where I could go look at the cars. I asked what my interest, length of term and total monthly payments would be per $1,000 spent.
He finally made eye contact. "What would it take to get you in a car from our lot today?" he asked. I told him I wasn't going to buy a car today. That I'd have to sleep on it and consider my options but, I couldn't do so until I knew what they had to offer and what cars they had available. He again looked at his computer and began typing. "Then you're wasting your time and mine by being here." he said. I asked what good it would do anyone to make an unsatisfied customer by pushing me into a car today before I had a chance to think about it. Before I could finish asking him this question, he interrupted me calling for a sales person to show us around. I went to the receptionist and asked for a manager. I tried to explain to the manager why I was upset by this situation and the Sales Manager explained away Gary's rudeness as just being busy and they have so many programs to log into in order to service us better.
Well Elk Grove Dodge, If I am to buy a car from any person, I demand eye contact. I consider it important to show your interest in a customer and to show respect. You showed me no respect today. I will not only not buy a car from you, I will share my experience of being belittled, ignored and disrespected in hopes others don't make the mistake of going to your company and hoping to be treated like a human being.
The company only had a few used cars most of which aren't highly rated in Consumer Reports. All the ones I was finally shown were previous rentals and were at least $1,000 over the Kelly Blue Book Suggested Retail price.
Again, I do not suggest Elk Grove Dodge. I had a bad experience. I understand now why they say that Hell is filled with car salesmen.
