The restaurant's interior is cosmopolitan chic and the intricate sushi rolls are anything but standard. Some of the more-famous rolls include the Marilyn Monroll and the Train Wreck.     My first experience at Mikuni's was at this location - what a blast! Mikuni's in Sacramento definitely has the most lively atmosphere and crowd I've ever seen in a Japanese restaurant.

    Yes, it was a long wait...but it was a Saturday night.

    Yes, it was pretty expensive...but it was worth it.

    It was here that I first discovered the Marilyn Monroll...MMM!!!

    Mikuni is great for the mainstream crowd looking for "Americanized" sushi, meaning specialty rolls. However, if you're looking for an authentic "Traditional" sushi restaurant...don't go to Mikuni. You'll be disappointed. Their nigiri and sashimi really isn't that good.

    I love!! My favorite as well as Taro's!! Great people, great food, clean, fun different!!!

    I would have to say Mikunis is a good place to eat. The food is fresh and the people are very friendly. They are wayyyyyyyyyyyy over priced for what they serve. You can go to many places in Sacramento that serve the same quality food from the same distributor for half the price. If you want a good atmosphere with descent food go to mikunis, if you want excellent sushi at a fair price look other places...
