Another miss for Sacramento. The IPA is never going to win medals, and arrived after our salad. Waitress blamed the bar instead of admitting she forgot it. Ceasar salad was bland, with boxed croutons and cheap cheese. Burgers were overpriced, overcooked and devoid of flavor. Lots of staff running around, but very little was done well. No mas for us.
My husband and I and 2 teenaged sons went to Brew It Up! 02/20/09. I ordered the California Burger which came with fries and I must say that the food was both hot and delicious. My husband and one son ordered the western burger. Their only complaint was that they could not taste the onion rings that were on the burger very well. My youngest ordered a personal pizza. The pizza was just okay. Nothing to rave about. Crust too thin soggy etc. The house made draft root beer was a hit with my family. Very expensive price for what we got but all and all it was good. The waitress was good too.
Had lunch today 1/7/09 with friend and it was horrible. I had the special (half sandwich and soup) and my friend had the club sandwich and fries. Sounds like a fairly simple lunch, but it was cold. The half sandwich was sad. Deep fried fish sandwich no bigger than a tennis ball, but the waiter didn't tell me it was deep fried. After 2 bites I wasn't taking a third. It was limp and cold as though it had been cooked 30 minutes prior.
Friends sandwich and fries were cold. Waiter never came back to our table to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything.
Almost forgot...the hostess was a JOKE! When we arrived she was on the phone on what sounded like a personal call. She stood their twisting her hair around her finger for almost 2 minutes without acknowledging our existence while we waited for her to get off the phone and seat us. No eye contact...no nod to let us know she'd be with us in a second. We just stood there akwardly waiting. Then I watched her after we sat down; she talked on the phone and pulled and twisted her hair the entire time we were there.
The only saving grace this place had was someone stopped me at the door to give me my cell phone which I almost left behind. Obviously it wasn't the hostest. She was busy on the phone.
