| About: | Take its name literallyif you drive too fast, you will miss this tiny eatery. The decor is not anything special, a few boxing posters and pictures of big fish. The lack of elbowroom is more than made up for by the size of its burgers. The "Squeeze Burger," is a third of a pound of ground chuck with a cornucopia of fixings all squeezed in to a huge whole grain bun. |

My husband and I had the day off and decided to venture down to the Squeeze Inn to see what the fuss was about. First off, the parking sucked!! I wonder how many fender-benders occur in the parking lot?? Food was pretty good-the crispy cheese was a nice touch, but not really worth the drive.or the squeezing in. I can now say "been there, done that".
Ok, for all you old time Squeeze Inn customers....Tell me you don't think they suck now !!! I started going to them back when they were at Elvas & C Street , on the curve , great location and screened in patio dining with the wood burning stove !! Aw...the days .. Their Chicken taco's could cure any hangover,. Now the chicken taco's are made with Louis Rich chicken lunch meat diced up, romaine lettuce !! They use to use real diced chicken, schreded iceburg lettuce , and salsa. I gave up on the taco's , but thought the Squeeze with cheese and Fries couldn't change ....until today... What a bummer, frozen french fries, funky buns now !! Sorry to say I won't even try to go back ;(

Reasonable VS. UN- Reasonable
So what do you picture as providing âreasonable accommodationâ in respect to making life a little easier for people who are physically challenged, (I hate the term âdisabledâ, it has such a negative feeling)? If you Google reasonable accommodation, there are a thousand definitions but they all have similar conclusions; to level the playing field. This is true whether its employment or businesses making accommodations for their customers.
Many businesses have made accommodation for the physically challenged by modification to their facility, as business dictates. Of course newer facilities must come up to current coding and places that are being remodeled are required to make changes to meet ADA requirements. The first thing the ânormalâ folks, (like Iâm abnormal) notice as they approach a business is the parking lot and the âBlueâ parking spaces. These parking spaces are for drivers or passengers âin possessionâ of a DMV Disabled Person Placard Identification Card/Receipt. This is further demonstrated by stickers that hang temporarily from the rearview mirror or by permanent Handicap plates. The DMV form is still required to be in procession of driver or passenger.
So what two news items got me SO upset? First Kimbery Blockâs law suit against the Squeeze-In in Sacramento. As someone who fits the âDisabledâ category, Iâm really outraged! The owners have made corrections that make getting a hamburger âreasonableâ! If I want a burger, all I have to do is call ahead and when I arrive, toot my horn and my order will be brought out to me. Now, that is more than reasonable. Ms. Block, just go down the street if you donât like this personal service.
