I have mixed feelings about this dealership, for a while there the employees were really rude to customers and get into arguments with the customers, and then I guess they received enough complaints and finally fixed the problem. I normally get good service in getting oil changes and they do fix flat tires or install new lights for free but I do recommend using caution when going to their auto body shop. A few years ago some hit my car at work and I took the car to have the bumper fixed at Elk Grove Honda, they did a great job, then a few years later my car was hit again and figured that if they did a great job last time they would do it again, not so, I dealt with a new adjuster and she was terrible, I had to point out damage that she missed on my car and they had to keep modifying the claim with my insurance company for things she missed which was a great inconvenience. finally when they called me that it was ready, the hood had severe over spray on it and it also had very obvious marks where the paint was running down the hood. They did not check it before giving it to me and when the adjuster looked at, she asked, "do you see any more problems?" this is their job to check it to make sure it is done right before they give it to the customer. While I don't mind getting minor service there, I will not go back to their body shop again.
Update! I won't go to this dealer ever again! I went in to get an estimate for my 120k service and they were trying to make me buy a new water pump that my car didn't need! They said it was "preventive maintenance" I called other dealers and they said that was a bunch of BS! Real dealers only replace what is needed and provide only the service recommended by Honda. Like the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I took my car to another Honda dealer that was approved by AAA and they charged me for the service plus the valve adjustment and the radiator fluid change, what it would have cost just for the service at Elk Grove Honda alone! I no longer trust this dealership and will tell my family and friends to stay away because it's a rip off in my opinion!
I think their customer service just sucks. Their service staff and manager talks over you. They are overly priced. You can get great work for a good price, honest and sincere staff at Carmichael Honda. Elk Grove may be a nice area but their customer service skills are in much need of help. I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone. Oh yea don't plan on getting fixes after 530 cause its only open late for conviennce pick up, drop off and maybe an oil change, which you can get done anywhere.
I went to 5 car dealerships around Sacramento over the long Thanksgiving weekend to get a new car, since mine was 7 years old and would soon need its annual maintenance that would probably cost me more than the car was worth. By far, the best salesperson was Mike C. at Elk Grove Honda.
The salespeople at the other dealerships were pushy, rude, and made me feel very uncomfortable. Mike was not like that at all. He answered questions fully, giving us both the pros & cons of the cars we looked at. He was nice. He was polite, and he tried to be as unobtrusive as possible while we were looking around. Also, when we went back for a test drive, Mike was there waiting for us, RIGHT ON TIME, without making us wait.
For my trade-in, I didn't get EXACTLY what the Kelly Blue Book suggested, but what the dealership eventually offered me was very close (they use the "black book"...just so you know). I was happy.
The sales office person was also very friendly, answering all kinds of questions without being pushy. It only took a few moments to give me options on financing, etc.
The Honda warranty seems to be the best one out there. Although the price of a new Honda seems a little more than some of the others, the warranty, plus the value that the car keeps, makes the price reasonable.
