belden resort :
i went to belden town for a trip on my birthday i knew it was an old gold town in nor cal
i was going for a party and was expecting a fun time i had a blast although i wasnt a party kid i was excepted by all there i actually had a great time the staff at the bar store resturant and all who were employed by the owners were great also to add im sure if bella or the lady who is a local who wrote the other review was nice and told them that they were going for lunch and that was all they would have had no problem as these kinds of things happen and as for her bad review i give it 100 percent of a good place to go eat have a beer fish gold pan ect.... but maybe call ahead in the summer as the new owners are providing a venue and look at it this way local money comes from tourism so in turn live with it or turn into a ghost town where no one comes toi would look out though i recently found out about hornet nests in the ground it is a beautiful place to take in the sunset from the deck at the resturant and have a cold beer after work i say so dont let 1 bad review be your judgement belden town is a gift from the past to the present

What’s up with the new owners of the Belden lodge? Went there for lunch [ one of many, local ] just happened to be fathers day 6/21/09. Didn’t know there was a rave party going on. Was confronted by two little drug/alcohol induced flower child [female] think they where the events checkin road block. Well lets just say what came out of their mustached rimmed mouth was worst than drunken pirates . All because we didn’t know about the party, and didn’t want to buy tickets [ $60 per ] we had already crossed the bridge, and just wanted to turn around. well with one on each side of my Jeep shouting and spraying obscenities I just drove ahead as they ran behind. They were surprised to see I only went to a clearing in the congested mess to turn around.

To the owners of the lodge, glad your making money off the trucked in flower children through the summer. Remember when summers gone its the locals who carry you through winter. Long after the tourists are gone. Also the road across the bridge and along the river is public, and they can not close it to passing vehicles, as they where doing.

"Excuse me" Belden Town Resort and Lodge are under new management and is flurishing.Besides the fact that it is one of the most beautiful places ever its hard to go wrong.The cabins have been revamped new carpets,paint even some walls replaced and even more supper!!! the people they are so kind and friendly and fun,We all enjoy the flowers,trees,and of course the river,you can tube,fish and even pan for GOLD.Do yourself a favor go there you will love it How Fun
