I purchased a new Altima Hybrid two years ago that had some air conditioning problems which required a lot of trips to the dealership but, I can say that the Service Dept. has given me superior customer service. I am also satisfied with my Altima even though things didn't start out so great!
I will never buy a car from Chico Nissan or reccomend anyone to buy a car from them EVER. The buying experience was ok, cant complain there. But it seems like once you get off the lot they wont help you out at all.
I have sprinklers outside my house that have ruined two of my previous cars paint and passenger side window. While in the process of filing out paper work I was talked into purchasing the Cliajet package for the car as and I state " would protect my car from water spot damage". This was a complete lie. I have had the car for 2 months and even after washing the car and trying to remove the spots myself, they have completely dulled the paint on the side of my car. I have called 3 times now and left my number with the detail department to call me back and have not heard anything. The I went down and showed them the car and they rudely told me to file a claim with Cilajet. Ciljet however apparently does not take calims within 90 days of car purchase. I should have gone with Chico Witmeier and bought a honda like I was going to originally. My roomate who bought her car a month before mine had the sprinklers hit her car once. She also had Cliajet and called and complained and thenext day they had her bring it in where they removed the spots and re-applied the chemical without hassel. Also a good friend of mine and a previous employee of Chico Nissan informed me that the chemicals they use for the Cliajet package cost them $75.00. The price YOU pay is an extra $800. I hope that if anyone reading this does buy a car from them, they do not purchase the Cilajet package as it is a rip off.
Excellent Service!: I was completely pleased with my purchase of a used vehicle at Chico Nissan Hyundai. I was comfortable with the salesperson, who didn't try to sell me more car than I was looking for or could afford. The finance process was quick and easy--we were in and out in less than two hours! Even though I didn't buy a Nissan or Hyundai, I continue to take my Ford truck there for service--their service department employees are much friendlier than those at the local Ford dealer.

Unfortunately, the bad service from Nissan is not limited to Chico! I absolutely LOVE my 2008 Nissan Maxima but let me just say that since I bought it slightly used from another dealership who is NOT a Nissan Dealership that Shasta Nissan in Redding WILL NOT SERVICE MINE UNDER WARRANTY EVEN!! I had no idea they could even refuse to do so. So, I reported them to Corporate who was sympathetic to my situation but informed me that they are individually owned and they cannot "force" them to service my vehicle. I was absolutely shocked! I did find out that I can take my car to any dealership for my extended warranty but not necessarily for my current one. Gotta love it, huh? I will NEVER buy from a local Nissan dealership including Chico ever!!!

I am so sorry for what happened with your vehicle there is no reason you should have been told to wait 90 days. cilajet is a 1st day 1st dollar coverage and is insured up to the value of the vehicle for any claims (meaning even if we had to repaint your entire car we would). Please contact my office ASAP at 530-342-8323 and I will take care of your vehicle personally. Again I am very sorry this happened do you.
