User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI decided my old optometrist (near downtown Chico... cough cough), who is now retired as I found out, was a poor doctor. I had called his office twice, and no one answered; it was definitely time to switch an optometrist. I found and called Chico Vision Care, hoping they would change this experience for me - and they did.
Although it was hard to distinguish the building from others, I had absolutely no trouble with the whole process. The office is professionally decorated, with a stylish and broad selection frames on the walls. Oh, not to mention its friendly staff. That's not all, I was called in on time, and that almost never happens!
The actual examination room is roomy, simple, yet functional. I had Dr. Lim, and you can tell that he's lively and humorous - unlike others of his field. My examination was performed in less than 20 minutes, thanks to the office's advanced technology. I didn't have to deal with those annoying pupil drops anymore, and that was really nice.
The person who assisted me with the frames, Stan, was patient. He didn't hesitate to show me frames that were in storage, and he offered me a generous discount on designer frames. He also took measurements of my eyes and ensured me warranty on the glasses (I don't know if this is standard procedure as my old and only optometrist was so bad).
Overall, I highly recommend Chico Vision Care. I had a great time, and I had so much fun. I can't wait to go back there again next year!-

I will agree that the previous staff was extremely rude, but the entire staff is brand-new and wonderful. The optician has over 12 years of experience and the front desk gals are very friendly! And of course, the doctors are great! Also, they have a vast selection with brands you won't find anywhere else.

The staff & doctors are wonderful! There is sometimes a bit of a wait, as many patients seem to simply walk in without an appointment: otherwise, a terrific experience.
