User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsDurham High School: DHS is a small school with about 400 students, in 9-12 grade. It doesn't have very many elective courses, but the core class curriculum is strong. The band and art depts. are very good. There is no choir or orchestra. The teachers are good at their jobs, but the school lacks spirit and cohesiveness. It's especially hard for freshman to feel a part of the school, communication to parents is poor. The studens and parents are hard working and are trying to make positive changes.
Pros: music, art, sports teams do very well
Cons: math dept. needs help, school spirit needs to improve
