User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThey're OK: I bought filet mignons there one time and actually Safeway's meat was better. It was tough and really had no flavor. Plus, of late, the girls at the cash register aren't very pleasant. They're very pleasant to the young guys, though. I can't wait for them to see what it's like to be treated poorly when they're older.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best meat and deli in town!: No matter what you get from the meat case, you can never go wrong. Not sure what you're after? Well, the knowledgable staff can help you out with a suggesstion, or you can select one of their variety packs that has a little of everything.
Hungry for a sandwich? Wagon Wheel has the BEST in town, hands down. The other shops in town are not even in the same league as Wagon Wheel subs. Not to mention, you are always treated courteously and served with a genuine smile.
In addition, this is also the ONLY place I'll take game to be processed (well, on those rare occassions I actually get something to process.) They do an excellent job. I've compared game processed other places and know why some people are turned off by it. Don't know what magic Wagon Wheel does with their game, but the meat turns out delicious, without that metallic "gamey" taste.

I find that hard to believe. Ive never had a tough fillet from anywhere. Who buys meat at safeway, anyways? Sounds like a bitter person. They always treat me fine there, and I will keep shopping there, I LOVE IT!
