Best coffee and coolest atmosphere in Nevada City. The deserts are out of this world. They come from a chef who supplied the Clinton White house with truffles on a weekly basis. Very cool coffee jocks who, like in Portland OR, will treat you awesome if you're not a jerk. I love this place for casual meetings and to hang out with friends.

Art, coffee, tea, soup, and gourmet desserts: I love this place. Eat dinner in one of the local restaurants but save room for a world class gourmet dessert at Mekka.
Choose from dozens of exotic teas, (loose and tucked into special filters over your cup) scrumtious coffee, or expresso choices.
They have free internet access, so stop in for a giant cookie and tea some afternoon to savor while you check your email.
Support the local artists by purchasing a painting you choose from from the gallery walls around you.
The decor is funky-cozy yet unlike anything else you've seen. Smile at the workers here, though a teensy bit shy, they open up grandly if you are nice. They're extremely open and friendly.
I hope to see you there. I'm the tall, blond, having a soy latte with a shot of vanilla or their homemade soup on a cold afternoon.
