| About: | The breakfast menu here includes everything from cereals (for the health-conscious) to omelets. If you do not have time to linger, buy a pastry or an afternoon picnic lunch to go. Dinner specials vary nightly. The building that now houses this cafe was once the Hanalei School. It has since been completely restored, but retains a charming Old World ambiance. The dining room is casual with a mixed clientele. Live music is showcased here most nights. |

Great Ahi sandwich at lunchtime in a good bar atmosphere. A little crowded at dinner, but it's a friendly crowd. Good buy for fish tacos especially if you eat in the porch. It'll feel like a more expensive atmosphere and not a bar. On the other hand, what's wrong with a bar with good fish tacos.
Service was lax, even by island standards and food was memorably bad. I've never seen so many people doing so little to serve customers. We were the only ones at the counter and had to ask for our order to be taken. We then waited 20 minutes for a tuna sandwich and some fried food. Bread was dry, tuna salad flavorless and the fried food's only redeeming quality was its temperature.
Good Food, Great Service: A real good place to hang out after a long day at the beach. Serves burgers/sandwiches/beer.
